About Ember-quartz

Building payment systems that businesses actually trust

Professional team collaboration

We started because payment systems were failing small businesses

In 2019, our founder walked into a bakery in Leeds and watched the owner manually reconcile three different payment systems at closing time. Each system had its own dashboard, its own fee structure, and its own way of reporting transactions. The entire process took ninety minutes.

That bakery owner wasn't alone. Across the UK, thousands of business owners were spending hours each week wrestling with payment infrastructure that should have been invisible. We built Ember-quartz to fix that specific problem.

What drives our approach

Clarity over complexity

Payment processing doesn't need to be complicated. We remove jargon from our documentation and build interfaces that your newest staff member can understand on their first day.

Real support from real people

When you call our support line, you reach someone who can actually solve your problem. No scripts, no endless transfers, no offshore call centers reading from decision trees.

Technology that adapts

Your business changes. Your payment systems should change with it. We build modular infrastructure that grows without requiring complete replacements every few years.

Our technical philosophy

We don't chase every new payment technology trend. Instead, we focus on proven systems that work reliably under real-world conditions. When we do adopt new technology, it's because we've tested it thoroughly and confirmed it solves actual problems our clients face.

Our development team includes former retail managers and hospitality workers who understand payment friction from the merchant side. This perspective shapes every feature we build and every integration we design.
